A good number of the emerging practice management solutions are offering NetDocuments integration as a standard option, which gives mid-market law firms real choice and flexibility in an area that is critical to their business.
Ease of use:
This product benefits from an intuitive, highly configurable and user centric interface that also allows users to interface seamlessly with the NetDocuments features "where they work" i.e. within Microsoft products like Word, Outlook, or Teams.
Architecture & roadmap:
NetDocuments have been a cloud based solution since 1999 and as such all development effort is able to be focussed on that platform, not something many vendors are able to say.
While NetDocuments is a highly secure private cloud deployment, users can also specify storage locations for customers data, which may be a nominated Microsoft Azure location or their own data centre (to satisfy data sovereignty requirements).
With typically fortnightly releases of new features, the product is under continual improvement and investment and the business is adept at engaging actively with customers for feedback and to identify and guide areas for improvement.
Integrations:
NetDocuments provides an open API as part of the platform and have over 200 integrated complementary vendors. Customers can also take advantage of the open APIs to add custom functionality within their own environments.
Implementation:
Implementations are primarily handled by a certified third-party partner network. Implementation timelines can range from 1-12 months, depending on the customer size and complexity.
Value for money:
NetDocuments work on the basis of an annual per-user cost (based on which features are taken) with tiered pricing based on the number of overall users.
